rising food prices push millions into extreme poverty

When hundreds of thousands of Egyptian protestors push unto Tahrir Square it makes for dramatic media coverage. Sometimes journalists, activist and political leaders have to make sure that the news stories that aren’t naturally accompanied by dramatic visuals are prominently portrayed and thoroughly explained. The long term consequences to political stability and national security are every bit as great.
